The Chinese theatre camp for all youths, enthusiasts and actors has successfully concluded its run for the second year running! Once again held at LASALLE College of the Arts, we saw an exciting mix of students, teachers, actors and simply those who love drama.
Who are our esteemed teachers this year? But of course:
Bonni Chan (Hong Kong), Co-Artistic Director of Theatre du Pif; Fu Hong Zheng (Taiwan/Malaysia), Creative Director and Choreographer of M.O.V.E. Theatre; and Wang Juan (Taiwan), founder of W.J.P.A. Performing Arts Workshop and professional artiste.
What inspiring and challenging workshops did our teachers put the participants through? Well, let the photos do the talking!
Watch how these 9 participants ‘interact’ with one another: One growls, everyone reacts; one crawls rapidly forward, and the others respond! They slowly bond as a group in the process.
In Teacher Wang Juan’s class… we start by painting?! Yes, to express our acute observation of daily life around us. Then participants move on to craft their own short presentations.
At the end of 3 thoroughly invigorating days, we finally conclude the camp. First, the wrap-up discussion session… where all frank and honest thoughts, feedback and jokes reveal themselves! And of course the essential PARTY back at TTP hall to end our camp with a bang!
Thank you to all teachers, participants, staff and volunteers for making Practice Theatre Camp a huge success once again. Till next year, take care, and keep the theatre spirit alive!
