从5月1日开始接受报名至今，“新加坡部落格大奖”的7个奖项已经接获将近400份报名，为海内外名人所设的“红格大奖”也获得3000份推荐！

受邀担任这场新时代媒体格斗的评审是资深媒体人文树森、实践剧场总监郭践红，以及本地著名导演唐永健（Kelvin Tong)。这三人中虽然只有唐永健有自己的博客，但文树森也十分认可博客的作用，他说：“这是个非常开放的平台，年轻人借此表达自己的想法，所以是了解年轻人心态不可以忽略的管道。”但他也认为，这个管道有一套新的游戏规则，“里头很多的真真假假”，这种魅力，让文树森也有跃跃一试的冲动，“也许有一天也会加入这个游戏。”

唐永健则把写博客形容为心灵的瑜珈术，让忙碌的都市人放慢脚步、沉淀思绪，释放出内心深处的真正想法。

新加坡部落格大奖评审

文树森 － 资深媒体人、新加坡电影委员会董事会成员。目前出任马克伯内特亚洲制作公司（Mark Burnett Productions Asia）总裁。

郭践红－音乐剧《老九》和《天冷就回来》导演，美国爱荷华大学艺术硕士（剧场设计），夏威夷大学导演学硕士，目前担任本地实践剧场艺术总监。

唐永健 － 本地导演兼故事创作人。他获得多项国际电影奖项及提名，作品包括《吃风》、《女佣》，以及 《第一诫》。

Kelvin’s exact words:

I am currently writing my next film. All I can say is that it will be an interesting departure from the horror genre.

Blogging is good in the same way that writing a diary is good. Life is very fast-paced today and many people do not have the time or discipline to slow down and reflect. Writing or blogging allows one to take a much-needed break, enter a contemplative state and articulate one’s inner-most thoughts and feelings. It’s a bit like mental yoga.

At the huge risk of generalizing and over-simplifying, I feel that Chinese bloggers are a lot more emotional and direct than the English ones. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Chinese bloggers own the Mandarin language more, compared to English bloggers. There is also more willingness to engage in issues larger than Singapore ones, for example what’s happening in Burma and in China.
