朋友寄了一个联署行动的网页给我。

吼！这位叫 Guillermo Vargas Habacuc 的“艺术家”真的有够绝！2007年，他在一个艺术展上，‘展示’一只狗，如何被活活饿死。这只名为 Nativity的狗，被绑在一条线上，没吃没喝，在热爱艺术的参观者的面前，痛苦的死去。

目的呢？他说是为了表现他的家乡San Jose, Costa Rica每年有10千只流浪狗被饿死、病死而得不到任何人的关心的现象。他也说通过这样的一个“展示”反撞出人们的虚伪。他说，那只狗是在街上捡回来时，已经生病了，就算没有为艺术牺牲，也本来就会饿死。

虽然是去年的事情，可是竟然有一个著名的艺术展Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American的 biennial of 2008 邀请他再度“展示”这个意念，所以引起公愤，开始联署行动。

我在想，那些看展览的知识份子，良心都到哪里去了？

这位艺术家呀，你很高招哦！居然把参展的人讽刺了一顿，他们还苯到不行地‘欣赏’你的‘作品’。 你赢了。有人去看，你也证实了你的‘目的’，没人去看，你也达到你想传达的信息。

只是，可怜了你下个‘展览品’。

I love arts. Don’t you?

In 2007, the ‘artist’ Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death.

For several days, the ‘artist’ and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful ‘masterpiece’ based on the dog’s agony, until eventually he died.

Does it look like art to you?

But this is not all… the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the ‘installation’ was actually art, so that Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008.

PLEASE HELP STOP HIM.
