SO LET’S GO!!!

BET ALL THE TEAMS CAN’T WAIT TO ROCK THE RUNWAY WITH THEIR 20,000HKD OUTFITS!!! ^^

Nicole and Celeste chose to cab to Causeway Bay first, which meant we had to cross the river from Tsim Sha Tsui, to safe precious shopping time :)
It’s all part of their strategy! Since they were given 600HKD ofr transportation and food etc!! ^^

And soon we found ourselves with the team at Causeway Bay, one of the most famous shopping districts in Hong Kong! :)

First stop, Island Beverly!!!!

This was where Celeste and Nicole started buying some pretty shoes which were on sale eheheh!!!

Island Beverly has a lot of cool shops like the ones you see in our local Far East Plaza and Haji Lane.
More suitable for younger crowd, and they even have shops with 1 piece per designs to cater to those with cravings for exclusivity!!!

At this point, Silver & I were not allowed to talk to Celeste and Nicole because one of the representatives from the HKTB that tagged along told us it was to ensure fairness of the competition :(
So in the end, Vivien let Silver and I explored the place on our own, and we only got updates on the progress via SMS from Vivien and the camera crew who were following Nicole and Celeste!
Below (professional looking) pictures are credit to the camera crew!!! :)
So in the end they shopped around Island Beverly, Laforet and many other districts and shops!!!!
But never did they once forget their budget! :) :)
Look at them with the calculator ^^
YAY! Smart shoppers always know when to stop spending!!!!
OMG I LOVE THESE SHOES CELESTE GOT!
ABSOLUTELY LOUD, TOTALLY OVER THE TOP, AND 100% ATTENTION GRABBING!
The whole point of a make over + catwalk isn’t it? :) :)

Happy shoppers with their VISA card! ^^

Celeste: Which bag is nicer, Pink or Orange?

Eventually they decided on Orange! :)
AND IT’S SUPER MEGA BLING IN REAL LIFE!!!!!!!

VISA CARD!!!! :D :D

And after countless of shops…….

And after endless discussions in the shops……
And after swiping the VISA card over and over…….

The team was exhausted!!

Check out all their shopping bags!!!
Now who says shopping isn’t a sport?
SHOPPING REQUIRES MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, TALENT, GOOD FORESIGHT, STRENGTH TO CARRY ALL THE SHOPPING BAGS, TENACITY TO ENDURE THE LONG HARSH ROADS AND OF COURSE GOOD TEAM MATES! ^^
They finally reached the hotel at about 7.50pm!!!
Thank goodness!!! ^^
And their loot!
Actually they were supposed to buy items just for their outfits but along the way prettier things kept coming up and were more suitable for their outfit anyway so…… :p
BUT THEY ONLY SPENT $16,000+HKD OKAY!
Most other teams spent $19,900+ HKD each lor!
At this point, Nicole & Celeste should already be crowned Super Shoppers!!!!
2 skinny girls being able to carry ALL THESE SHOPPING ITEMS back by themselves plus they took the MTR back, omg!
+++++
After which, we went to have a dinner at a nice restaurant at Harbour City as a reward to everyone for working hard that day heheh! :)

Wah seafood soup!!!

And prawns, and roast duck and a lot more yummy food!!!

But no time for games!!!
Even during dinner time, Nicole and Celeste were still discussing about what to mention during the presentation the next day!!! SO HARDWORKING RIGHT!!! :D
And then finally we got back to the room where the Omy.sg crew interviewed the team about their buys and their experiences during the shopping spree :) :)

Improvised lighting and all~ eheheh!

So after the interview Celeste and Nicole started putting their buys together to create their outfits
This was Nicole’s initial outfit which looks quite stunning here but……. didn’t look nice when worn
BUT!!!!!! THEY DID TONS OF IMPROVISATIONS AND AMENDMENTS TO IT TILL IT LOOKED TOTALLY HOT!!!!! ^^ YOU’LL SEE LATER :D
And this is Celeste’s, which looks super good from the start already so not much of a headache here! ^^
And in case you missed me, here’s a picture of me I koped from Silver’s blog :p
Basically Silver and I were hanging around in their room helping them get their stuff cause the heels they were wearing were totally IMPOSSIBLE to walk in ahaha!
and it was hard for them to bend down to get their stuff so we helped with that! yay!!!
Plus pinning their skirts up and all that!!!! ^^
Else the whole day we feel damn lonely cause we weren’t allowed to talk to them lol :(
OMG AND LOOK AT THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE IN THIS PICTURE.
Silver is about my height so we both were super tiny miny around Nicole and Celeste with their heels on~~~ hahahah
Oh and anyway we cut the leggings into shorts and used a scarf they bought to act as a skirt and the whole outfit looked more elaborate and expensive! :) yay!!!
They were going for the high fashion glam kind, befitting of the runway, of look so the usual “safe” outfits would never work! ^^
And after they’ve settled with their outfits and the kind of hairstyle they were going to do,
messy big hair for Celeste and a tight high bun for Nicole (Silver’s idea, which turned out really good!!!),
Celeste started preparing the script (for a few hours!!!) for herself and Nicole! ^^
Cause actually the initial plan was for a faux mohawk for Nicole but I think in the end the high bun looks more high fashion! :) :) woohoo!
So there’s also a contrast between Celeste’s and Nicole’s look in terms of hairstyle!
And while other teams went for styling session by professionals, the Singapore team is able to do our hair and make up (somewhat professionally) by ourselves eheheh! :)
SINGAPORE PRIDE! ^^
So with a sigh of relief that Nicole and Celeste has settled with everything for the presentation, everyone went back to their rooms, extremely tired but glad because of the sense of achievement.
And ultimately, even if they didn’t win, we all know in our hearts that they’ve put in all their best efforts and are already winners to all of us :)
