The good people at Sisley came by the salon to introduce to me a new product called Supremya (aka magic potion to me). It works exactly like its tag line “ Repair the past, Prepare the future”. When our skin is young our natural repair function is strong but as we grow older the self-repair process loses its strength and that’s when Supremya becomes magic! Click on the picture above to learn more about how it works in details. All I know is I put it on at night and wake up the next morning looking younger than when I went to bed. So thank you Sisley for creating Supremya my brand new beloved magic potion.

I got to work with Angelababy recently as well, and she is cute as a button. Unfortunately, because of Yuan Yuan I had to rush back to the salon and didn’t get a chance to take a photo with her for my blog. Hopefully I’ll see her again soon for that photo =)

It’s been 2 months since I got back from Beijing and because I’ve been too busy with the new salon I couldn’t find time to go back so Yuan Yuan came to me instead =) After a whole day in the salon we took a trip down to the new casino to have a look and hoping to win some $$$ as well. I heard a lot of negative comments about the new casino and I have to say that Singaporeans are being too hard on Singapore. I’ve been to casinos all over the world and they all look quite similar and to my standards I think Singapore did a fabulous job. We should be proud of our country instead of constantly scrutinizing and comparing ourselves with the rest of the world. Be contented people and don’t take everything for granted!

Hi again my dear readers,

I’ve been really busy since I got back from Paris 4 days ago and haven’t really had the chance to give you guys a full update on my lovely trip. But before I do that, I want to tell you guys about 2 special guests that visited me the same day I got back. First it was Yoga a young singer from Taiwan. I was so busy when he was here that I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo with him. I was a little upset about that but hopefully he’ll come by again soon sometime. My second special guest is Olivia my jewellery designer. Her timing was perfect because I had some spare time to bring her around. We went to P.S Cafe at Dempsey for dinner then to The White Rabbit for drink. She didn’t want to go home so I brought her to Zouk. Because I was still feeling a little jet lag from my trip I didn’t want to have a late night and the only way out was to make Olivia drunk. Surprisingly, It only took us about 10 minutes to get her tipsy and 5 more to make her puke! I’m so sorry for making you drunk Olivia but I hope you had a great time coz I definitely did =)

Anyways, here is the long overdue update on my trip to Paris. I was there for 4 days and it was a work trip with Dr Georgia Lee. Shopping is inevitable when you’re in Paris because how can we stay away right? Everything in Paris is lovely. Even though I walked a lot and shopped a lot, I didn’t dare buy anything. Even picking up an item to have a closer look was dangerous for me! I still have a vivid picture in my head of what happened when we were at the Lanvin store. There was this very pretty sunglass on display and I picked it up to have a closer look. While I was trying it on, Dr GL was already paying for it! Another similar incident happened again when we were at Givenchy but the only difference was that Georgia had a competitor; Mr. P! Although the final score was 0/0 I still felt very touched. It felt exactly like I was out with my kids and they were fighting over who can make mommy happy! Thank you so much for making me feel so special =)

Even though it was a work trip, it definitely didn’t feel like work at all and I’m sure the photographer and makeup artist would agree with me on that. Working with Georgia is like a walk in the park. She’s happy with every style that you create for her because she is confident in you and confident in herself as well. The only thing she doesn’t like is having too much hair product on her hair and I’m sure many of you out there can relate to that. I truly believe in being in a good environment and being around good people. Although I have to say that not all rich people are good people because I’ve had several bad experiences with them. But you learn from your mistakes and move on a wiser person. It’s always good to know both sides so you can differentiate between what’s good and what’s bad. Everything you do and everyone you meet is all meant to be so no regrets and no hard feelings. Nothing will harm you if you have a pure heart and always remember to do good deeds. 好人一定会遇到贵人！

I’m sure all of you are waiting for some bitching and gossips right? I recently noticed a trend with some people in the entertainment industry. Everyone should know that retirement fee is a given when you’ve been with the same company for a long time. The people that I’ll be talking about today are those that are useless at their jobs and are counting down the days till they get their retirement fee. I feel terrible for those of my friends who have no choice but meet these people at work. They have no goal, no drive and definitely make no contribution to the progress of their work. Instead they abuse their authority and use religion to guilt people into submission. My theory with these people is that they feel so pathetic about themselves that they have to resort to such despicable actions. But on the other hand, it must be quite mentally draining to wake up every morning knowing that you have to be somewhere and do things that you have no passion for. Just the thought would drive anyone crazy and that my friend is karma well deserved. There is nothing much we can do to help or change things so hopefully the King will hear our plea. He is the only man capable of making these much-needed changes in our already unstable industry. A total tsunami wipeout of all the high-ranking staff would be the best thing that could happen. Fingers crossed!

I would like to thank Mr. P and Dr. GL again for an amazing ‘work’ trip. A famous doctor, a talented young man and an uneducated hairdresser! We make such a wonderful trio don’t you think =) Adios for now till our next adventure! I’ll be seeing Yuan Yuan soon and I can’t wait!

After receiving the horse from my dear friends I got another present an hour later. It was a bouquet of red roses from a very talented and respectable young man =) the flower arrangement was perfect and it was just the way I liked it. I’m not trying to be a cynic or anything but roses always make me think of death for some reason and even though it’s a tradition to have white roses at funerals, I would love it if I had red roses instead when it’s my time to go.

I’m very grateful and thankful to have so many friends that are so kind and thoughtful towards me. This particular young man who sent the flowers today is actually the same person in my previous post “A Helping Hand”. It became very clear to me after returning from my trip to paris that i was spot on about my theory about criticism. In no particular order, it all comes from resentment, insecurity and jealousy. If you think about it carefully, I’m sure all of you would agree with me!

My friend here is actually quite the Mr Perfect and when a person is that perfect, you would either hate him or love him and it’s quite obvious which side of the fence I’m on. I have to say above all the countless good qualities he possess, there is one that i admire the most. Which is his ability to admit mistakes when he’s in the wrong and know it when he’s right. That for some strange reason is a very tough thing to do, especially with a man of his status. All great man has to have a defense mechanism to protect himself and being stern is his way of keeping out of harms way if you know what i mean?

It is quite amazing that I’ve learnt so much from him even though he is a lot younger than i am (only Clarence’s age). To have the ability to pass on wisdom and knowledge (which only comes with age) is pretty rare and unusual for a person at his age but i guess he was never an average Joe to begin with. 人真是会树大招风. Brilliant man with a big and sincere heart that is definitely meant for success. Thank you so much again for the beautiful flowers Mr P!

I just got back from Paris and guess what greeted me when I got back to the salon? A lamp! I know there’s nothing amazing about a lamp but have you ever seen a lamp in the shape of a life size horse? Pretty cool don’t you think? But to me it’s not as cool as the amazing bunch of people that bought me this awesome gift! It was meant to be a surprise opening present and I was definitely surprised and absolutely in love. You’ll understand the reason why if you ever get the chance to see it. I’m so thankful and I love all of them so much, not just because they’ve been so thoughtful and generous with me. I’m sure everyone knows that when things are one of a kind they usually come with an unusually high price tag, 5 digit kind of high! Anyways, there are many reasons why i love them but the main reason is because they’ve always been by my side through good times and bad times. So thank you so much guys from the bottom of my heart for always being there for me as well as for this beautiful present. I have to say even though I’m very happy to receive such a generous present, I feel sorry at the same time and would like to apologize to all of you for unknowingly burning a hole in your pockets. Love you!

Thank you to my dear friends: Martin Wong, Patricia Mok, Fann Wong, Christopher Lee, Joanne Peh, Kym Ng, Felicia Chin, Ann Kok, Yvonne Lim and Apple Hong.

Something happened this week that made me wonder why do people laugh at others? I’m sure there are a million reasons why but I think the few main reasons are definitely resentment, insecurity and jealousy.

Before I start my story, let’s use fake names for my 2 main characters. The culprit will be called Keira and our victim will be Sam. Both Keira and Sam are in the fashion industry so they sometimes get to travel together. Keira is a buyer for a well-known fashion house and Sam is an editor for a fashion magazine. Recently, a lot of my friend received an email from Keira with an attached photo of Sam dressed in a very flamboyant outfit. Who is to say that what Sam is wearing is bad styling just because it’s loud? Everyone has his or her personal style. Keira pretends to be a decent person with a very easy style but when behind closed doors would stabs a friend in the back? How do we justify that? Moral of the story is don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Do you think Keira’s job would be safe if his or her bosses found out what a terrible thing he or she has done? Can she afford to offend the editor of a magazine? Why be jealous of others when all you have to do is work hard and stay focus instead of forwarding useless emails to make yourself look shallow?

The reason I can relate so well will Sam is because I use to be Sam. With Versace from top to bottom I looked like a walking fag statement! But I was proud about my sexuality and couldn’t care less what others thought about me. Even though everyone would agree that technology is a great invention, it’s also slowly becoming the downfall of our civilization.

Anyways, I’m going to Paris tonight and I’ll update your guys if I hear any other gossips.

XOXO gossip girl

X factor plays a big part in being a celebrity. You have to be able to stand out from your peers and to me all 4 of them definitely have the X factor. Zoe has always been very versatile with her roles as well style. There is nothing more I can say about Zoe other then she’ll always be my Queen. Next up to take the throne is obviously Princess Fann. She is by far the most hardworking actress I know. When you’re acting shoulder to shoulder with Hollywood celebrity Owen Wilson and world-renowned martial art artist Jackie Chan, you know you’ve made it. I’m happy for her that she’s made it this far with her career as well as in love =) Her real life prince charming is also the prince of our royal family. Christopher is such a fashion forward kind of guy, which is what I love about him. There should be more men as versatile in style as Christopher so our industry can move forward at the same time or faster then the rest of the world. I would like to steal a quote from American Idol judge Randy Jackson: “mad props for my dog Chris!”

Last but not least, I would like to talk a little bit about Jacelyn Tay. She has never once rejected me on my request for taking effortless pictures of her. It’s such a pity that the people she does reject are those that would put her on the screen for our local TV programs. This is the reason I’m calling her the princess that ran away… All the best to whatever she has planned for the future.

All 4 of them are the biggest names in Singapore and yet they are still as hard working and professional as ever. Whenever I see the 4 of them at events there is always this over coming urge to go over and say hi or sing praises about them to the foreign celebrities that they are the TV royalties in Singapore. Unlike some ‘orbit’ artiste that I’m too embarrassed to talk to or even be seen with. It is going to be tough to find new talents that would have that level of commitment in this new generation. But we can only hope that all these young aspiring actors would follow the excellent example set by our royal family=)

I might be little back dated or maybe I’m just too much of a city girl because there is this very yummy pizza place at Greenwood Avenue that’s been around for a couple years now and I only just found it yesterday. It’s undeniable that there are a lot of PROS living in the city but there are many CONS as well. Like not knowing about interesting yummy places for one and being clueless about these places can seem rather dodo too!

We initially wanted to go to White Rabbit for dinner but it was a last minute decision and we didn’t make any reservation so naturally it was fully booked. I love the atmosphere at white rabbit and it has such interesting ‘Alice in the Wonderland’ concept of furnishing, which makes the place even more fascinating! Definitely not forgetting the fine looking owner of White Rabbit =) I love cute owners! Anyways, we shouldn’t known better to make a reservation but everything was all good again when my dear friend Debra suggested the Pepperoni Pizzaria!

Apparently Pepperoni Pizzaria has the biggest pizza in Singapore and it wasn’t just yummy in size it was bloody tasty as well. It felt like Australia for some odd reason. The waiters were really nice and polite and even the customers were very pleasant as well. We started our awesome dinner with chicken wings and Prociutto Crudo di Parma, which translates to Parma ham and rock melon. I love Parma ham melon because it always reminds me of Ziyi. Whenever I’m in Europe with her, we will definitely have Parma ham melon and Creme brulee. I miss her…

Dinner was followed by a 21-inch pizza and as you can see from the photo it looks yummilicious right? Guess what we had for dessert? It’s none other then my favorite Tiramisu. I have to say it was a very satisfying dinner for a Thursday night. I called for the bill when we were done but the bill was already paid for by Debra’s fiancé. I felt a little embarrassed cause I was the one doing all the ordering. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to buy him dinner soon =)

I’m definitely going back to Pepperoni Pizzaria very soon. Please take some time off to visit them at 4 Greenwood Avenue if you have the chance =)
