****½ Gucci Stylish Suits
Tom Ford has an eye (great eye, if I might add) for beauty (and brawn, of course). This is such a stylish production, everything works and clicks so well together – wardrobe (naturally), hairdo, set, props, details, acting, visuals, editing, pacing, MUSIC (Wong Kar Wai inspired?) – can’t believe it’s his directing debut. Suspect that he has a talented pool helping him. Can’t deny that the man is into all kinds of details. Love the faded tones and enriched colours signifying different states of being for male lead. Colin Firth is at his best (both physically and artistically speaking)! Absolutely amazing… the twitch of his chest when he had his first minor heart attack, welling of tears in his eyes after one fateful phone call, the expressions of temptations after flirting with young attractions… definitely award-deserving. Tom Ford is much associated with 情欲, but I strongly feel that there is more 情 in this film than 欲, if not a finely-handled balance between the two. Bravo.

Sounds really interesting…and you don’t easily give such high ratings.
I have a feeling I’ll have to burn a big hole in my pocket with all these good movies. Seems like these few months lots of good movies keep coming to Singapore!
