Ho ho ho!
We’re 9 days away from Christmas and the holiday rush is pretty much evident seeing the hustle and bustle that one can see not only along Orchard Road but in practically every single mall around Singapore. For people like me who just dislikes being squished and squashed in crowds, here’s one perfect solution on how you can still spread the love come Christmas Day.
Growing up, my sister and I would frequent the bookstore and aside from browsing through the latest books, we would also make sure to buy some greetings cards to give to our parents. You see, my parents has been giving us birthday and Christmas cards since we’re probably 1 year old. I have kept every single card that I’ve received and some of it have turned yellow with slight brown spots (what on earth are those?!) and were dated more than 20 years ago. One of the best cards that I’ve received was a cool Pop-Up Card with Santa and the Reindeers “popping-up” whenever I open the card. Some were even more innovative with a musical chip singing one of the famous Christmas carols.
Thanks to our Canon Pixma MG6370, we were able to print out this step-by-step guide on how to create our own Pop-Up Card. All you need is a good piece of paper, a pair of scissors and glue! We cut out all the pattern, folded along the line and watch the magic happen piece by piece.
We had to be careful though to follow the instructions to make the pop-up work. Simply cut the santa image and the Christmas tree and paste these at the center of the card to form a “v”.
Now, what are you waiting for? Don’t be a Christmas Grinch and create your Holiday Pop-Up Cards now! Visit the Canon Creative Park for more designs and craft project ideas.
