Raising funds: From 1 – 15 November, purchase strawberry sundaes from any McDonald’s restaurant, and McDonald’s Singapore will donate $1 from each purchase to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to help raise funds and bring love, hope & courage to children and families supported by RMHC Singapore.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is an independently administered charity that runs a “home-away-from-home” facility (Ronald McDonald House) at the National University of Singpore for families with children in intensive care.

At the moment, wards has 4 rooms available for beneficiaries – each of these rooms comes with beds, attached bathrooms and toiletries, and a secure safe, so that families staying there to be near their sick child in the NUH pediatric wards can have a proper place to rest, without the hassle of travelling to and from their places of residence.

For the beneficiaries’ comfort, the Ronald McDonald House facility also has a dining area, living room, laundry room, play room for kids, and a kitchenette for common use by the families staying there. The facility is also fully WiFi-enabled so that families, particularly non-locals whose children are seeking treatment in Singapore, can keep in touch with their loved ones back home easily.

Sounds good! How else can I support this?

Easy peasy! Apart from buying a strawberry sundae, take a photo of it to share on your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or even Snapchat! Use the hashtags #mchappydaysg and #lovehopecourage so that your friends/followers can know about the $1 donation for RHMC too!
