Hair today... gone tomorrow. =(

Hair today… gone tomorrow. =(

We’re not going to judge, but be honest – you’ve had moments when your first visual impression of a person is affected by his/her hair… or lack thereof. While hair loss is a natural part of aging, premature / excessive hair loss definitely isn’t.

Facing hair loss problems? Fret not, we’ve done some research and thrown together quick pointers on how you care for your hair and scalp in the bid to maintain a decent head of hair.

Don’t start crying just yet, there might be hope after all.

But first, the basics – HOW DOES HAIR GROW?

  • Each strand of hair has its own growth cycle, and at any one point in time, approximately 90% of your hairs are growing while 10% are “resting”. (Source: TK TrichoKare)
  • Hair growth cycle for each strand is different, and a healthy hair replacement rate means that new hairs are growing at roughly the same rate as old hairs are lost.

Having established the above basic points, it is now easier to understand how hair thinning and hair loss occurs:

  • When new hairs aren’t growing as fast as the old ones are falling out.
  • When new hairs aren’t growing as thick or as long as before.
  • When new hairs aren’t growing at all.

Apart from genetics, the above can be caused by a whole range of factors, including poor diet, environmental conditions, stress, illnesses, using too much styling products, too much chemical treatments on hair, and/or improper ways of shampooing.

While lifestyle factors can be dealt with through conscientious adjustments, let’s deal with the most common type of male hair loss condition – Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA), or simply put, male pattern baldness.

Sorry, we can’t perform any Duncan wrist-flick magic, but treatments are still available!

Men who are facing male pattern baldness may be dealt a lousy hand by genetics, but treatments are still if you detect this early on when the follicles are merely dormant and not completely dead. Likewise, those who face hair loss problems due to lifestyle factors can also seek help from experts to rectify the issue.

Fight nature with nature with the help of experts

There are plenty of off-the-shelf products that claim to  restore hair growth, but think about it – if you can’t rightly determine the cause of YOUR personal hair loss condition, spending all that money on hair tonics may well be a waste.

One of the ways you can ascertain the reasons behind your condition would of course be to seek expert advice. TrichoKare boasts of in-house Trichologists and a well-trained team of hair specialists who would always conduct a thorough hair and scalp analysis before recommending any treatments to their customers.

Bloggers meet the hair experts at TrichoKare @ Orchard Gateway.

During the analysis, the specialists would show customers the magnified scans of their scalp, and explain the issues present so that customers get a better understanding of what went wrong and how to seek the right treatments.

Herbal treatments are customised for customers depending on their individual hair and scalp conditions. No harsh chemicals here!

What’s unique about TK TrichoKare is that it’s the first ISO 9001 Trichological Centre that provides European herbal hair remedy validated by certified Trichologists, with products formulated by a professional herbalist.

The reason for using herbal remedies? The team at TrichoKare explains that our internal body system are more receptive to natural ingredients and absorbs natural ingredients better, which would make treatments more effective. In addition, herbs contain less toxic residue and herbal treatments provide a more holistic approach to treat internal imbalance and enhance overall well being of those suffering from hair and scalp issues.
