Synopsis
Not satisfied with being a clown in a local circus, Sunny (played by Aaron Kwok) dreams of becoming a great knife thrower; just like his father. On a treasure-hunting trip deep into the mountains of Malaysia, Sunny and 5 other circus performers carelessly triggered a bio-chemical weapon from World War II.
Shortly after returning to Hong Kong, their bodies undergo changes from inhalation of gas from the weapon. Their bones and muscles show signs of animalization. Their strength increases incredibly. The group decides to use their special strengths to do evil. Robberies and assaults erupt in the city.
Sunny’s strength and agility also boosted but strangely, he shows no signs of animalization. As a result, he gains fame and popularity. While the others are turning into ugly creatures, they decide to kidnap the top five richest men in the city and set a trap to capture Sunny so as to find out why is he able to resist the mutation in his body.
Characters
Sunny (Aaron Kwok)
Son of the legend “The King of Flying Knife”, but Sunny doesn’t inherit his father’s legacies – neither knife throwing skill nor courage. But his ordinary life is totally changed in a treasure hunting trip with his fellow circus performers, their bodies mysteriously undergo a biological change caused by the poisonous gas in cave.
Sunny is later on made “The Flying Knift Hero” by a beautiful and intellgient jouornalist, Angel. Fame mesmerizes Sunny and so blurs his version, he misses a critical shot in a fatal battle with Tai Chu. After the defeat, Sunny is determined to win his last fight against Tai Chu by learning from Suan Hou to boost the power and accuracy of his flying knift skill. Sunny vows to become a true legend.
Angel (Shu Qi)
A hardheaded anchor who never lets her soft side show. To save her fading career, Angel is willing to do anything to reclaim her lost past glory, even by bringing down her competitors.
Sunny, whom she wins the heart of, is a stepping stone to peak in her career again, but her aggression and selfishness eventually lead to a disaster. When Sunny is lost the battle with Tai Chu and reported missing, Angles finally realizes her true feeling for him. To redeem her sin, Angle takes a dangerous move by cooperating with the Police in hope of entrapping Tai Chu…
Suan Hou (Wu Jing)
Suan Hou is the commander of the UCI (Unclassified Crime Investigation), a police specialist team for combating mutant-related robberies in town.
This Tai Chi and Martial Art Master has a provocative temper. After his loss to the “mutant troop”, the prideful Suan Hou cannot bear another failure and hence decides to take a chance on Sunny- to capture the mutant criminal troop by using Sunny’s fame as the bait. However, he would never imagine the stake of his stubbornness is Xiu Hua’s life.
At last, Suan Ho manages to turn sorrow into strength, he passes his skills to Sunny and prepares him for the ultimate battle with Tai Chu.
Xiu Hua (Zhang Jingchu)
Suan Ho’s assistant in the UCI, she learnt Tai Chi together with Suan Ho as a child, and the two are well bonded. But the bonding sometimes goes too tight that Xiu Hua can’t never let go of Suan Ho’s safety and follow him around.
Seemingly Xiu Hua is innocent and carefree, but her worldly wisdom actually complements Suan Ho’s obscurity much. She eventually scarifies her life to protect Suan Ho.
Chang Tai Chu (Colin Chou)
As the most popular Flying Knife Performer in circus, Tai Chu is very confident of his look, but the mutation deteriorates his handsomeness. He devotes his heart to Angel, but she chooses Sunny over him. Sunny has always been his eyesore, in particularly after his brother’s death which Tai Chu firmly believes Sunny is the culprit. Tai Chu swears to eradicate him.
Tai Chu is an accomplished Kung Fu master known for his comprehensive and superior martial art skills, his strength boosts massively after animalization of the body. But he chooses to take the evil path and leads his mutant troop to jeopardize the city. Corrupted by power and desire, Tai Chu gradually becomes eccentric….

Directed his first movie “A Moment of Romance” in 1990 and has made his later directorial debut with various successful action titles including “Who Am I”, “Divergence”, “The New Police Story”, “Rob-B-Hood” and “Connected”, BENNY CHAN is one of the most acclaimed directors of vigorous action movie.
In 2007, Benny Chan pushed the envelope of the action genre. In “Invisible Target”, he spiced the film up by adding new elements, crafting intensive action scenes and packing matrix of brilliant drama and vibrant characters, Benny Chan successfully redefines action movie with a wide appeal.
In 2010, Benny collaborates with Universe Films again and helms a brand new Sci-fi Actioner “City Under Siege”. The film features the most shining action stars and lineups the best of the film industry elites, Benny Chan sets to push for a new peak of Action Movie.
Action Chorographer
MA YUK-SING is the best partner of veteran action director, Tony Ching Siu-tung. They worked together in a lot of big-budget productions including “THE WARLORDS”, “AN EMPRESS AND THE WARRIORS” and “THE STORM WARRIORS”. With the reputable solid experience accumulated while working with Ching, Ma has become one of the top action choreographers in Asia.
Art Director
Six-time Hong Kong Film Awards winner of the Best Art Direction Award, receiver of the Technical Grand Prize in the 53rd Cannes Film Festival (by “In the Mood for Love”) and winner of the Best Production Design Award in the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards 2005 (by “2046”), the awards WILLIAM CHANG won are far from enough to illustrate his accomplishment of this internationally well-known art director and costume designer.
Chang’s art direction career flourishes with his impeccable partnership with Director Wong Ka Wai. The unique artistic style of William Chang captured the heart of the jury of Taiwan Golden Horse Awards, he is a frequent winner of the Best Art Direction for his works in “In the Mood for Love”, “Fallen Angels”, “The Days of Being Wild” and “2046”.
Also, the excellence of Chang’s artwork is recognized by Hong Kong Films Award for six times for the pictures “2046”, “In the Mood for Love” ,“The Days of Being Wild”, “As Tears Go By”, “Homecoming” and “Ashes of Time”. With his prominent status as the Master of Art Direction comes numerous projects from Asia and Hollywood.
Special Effects
Founded in 1990 by brothers Victor and Eddy Wong, Menfond Electronic Art and Computer Design Co Ltd (MENFOND) is the Hong Kong’s leader in visual effects creation. Menfond has a strong reputation in Asia and Hollywood for its work in producing creative compositions that generate compelling content and sequences, hence it is used by movie companies to create scenes that are impossible to film by using traditional means. Films they’ve worked on include hits such as “Gorgeous”, “Legend of Zu”, “Initial D” and “CJ 7”.
Menford has won numerous local and international awards, including 3 Best Visual Effects Awards in Taiwan Golden Horse Awards (for “The Twin Effect”, “New Police Story” and “Secret”), it is also the 2-time winner of The Best Visual Effects in Hong Kong Film Awards for their works in “Initial D” and “The Twin Effect”.
With high creativity, supreme technique and experience working with production crew, Menfond makes digital filming seem just like a live-action sequence.

故事大綱
Sunny (郭富城飾) 是雜耍表演團裡的小丑﹐但他的最大志願﹐是像外號「飛刀王」的父親一樣在舞台上表演飛刀﹐贏的不只是笑聲﹐還要贏得觀眾的歡呼喝采。
一次偶然機會下﹐Sunny跟團裡五名表演員張大初 (鄒兆龍飾)﹑劉鎮星﹑張鐵根﹑賀軍及姚麗深入馬來西亞山區盜寶。六人果然挖開了一個洞穴﹐但內藏的不是黃金﹐而是二戰時期日軍遺下的生化氣體！洞內危機重重﹐團員之一的鐵根更送了性命。眾人慌忙下就丟低Sunny﹐逃走了。
逃回香港後的四名團員﹐吸入的氣體開始在體內產生化學作用﹐四人身體漸漸發生突變﹐筋肉骨骼出現了獸化現象﹐而體能方面亦隨著提升。為首的大初竟想到利用這些異能﹐去為非作歹！
而也回到香港的Sunny﹐說也奇怪﹐他雖然身手變得異常地靈巧敏捷﹐但身體卻無任何獸化跡象。容貌逐漸扭曲變醜的大初側聞此消息﹐決意要抓Sunny來研究出抑制基因異變的抗體！
同時﹐這也吸引了警方跟傳媒的注意。大初等人接連犯案﹐武功精湛的孫皓 (吳京飾) 及警員秀華 ﹐帶領著警方特別部門UCI(另類案件調查科)﹐正嚴密跟進。另一方面﹐剛被降職的新聞女主播Angel (舒淇飾)﹐為了採訪一單驚天大新聞以挽回劣勢﹐也對Sunny等人的變化大感興趣。
終於﹐大初﹑孫皓﹑Angel等皆不約而同地以Sunny為目標聚首一堂﹐警匪「人獸」大戰一觸即發！夾在中間的Sunny﹐情急之下﹐唯有胡亂飛擲出飛刀﹐但飛刀卻竟然爆發出如同炮彈般的威力！結果﹐Sunny誤打誤撞殺死了賀軍﹑擊退了大初等變種人﹐還因此而被Angel吹捧成為人民英雄。
Sunny開始紅遍全城。Angel變成了經理人﹐成功塑造出Sunny行俠仗義﹑鋤強扶弱的「飛刀奇俠」形象﹐更讓Sunny終有機會跟父親一樣站在台上﹐於千萬觀眾面前表演飛刀！
眼看Sunny的救世主形象越見言過其實﹐秀華勸Sunny應積極備戰大初等的隨時來襲﹐孫皓卻是冷眼旁觀﹑更反而推波助瀾﹐進一步將Sunny的曝光率提高﹐無非為以Sunny作誘餌引蛇出洞！
大初的身體不斷蛻變﹐體能不斷提升﹐他要進行一個超級計劃﹐不單要捉拿Sunny﹐還同時打算綁架香港五大富豪！這一擊﹐大有「成則天下我有﹐敗則玉石俱焚」之勢！
而還在夢中的Sunny﹐踩進了大初準備好的陷阱中去﹐只有威力﹑毫不準確的飛刀﹐結果令自己身受重傷！連場激戰之下﹐孫皓與Sunny雙雙墮樓失蹤﹐而秀華更因拼死保護孫皓而犧牲！
奇蹟地﹐Sunny及孫皓都沒有死。還被一個中年婦人葵所救。葵解開了Sunny多年的心結﹐揭開了Sunny父親當年陷冤獄之謎﹐更令Sunny重拾自信﹐而且真正領悟到父親那飛刀絕學！至於孫皓亦因秀華的死﹐痛定思痛﹐為彌補過錯而教授Sunny準確運用其無限潛力！
另一邊﹐Angel對自己為功名不惜一切﹑連累生靈涂炭而深感懊悔﹐決意跟警方合作深入虎穴引出大初… 危急關頭﹐Sunny拿著父親遺下的寶刀﹐跟重傷未癒的孫皓趕至﹐直搗黃龍﹐跟大初等人作終極對決！

Sunny (郭富城 飾演)
外號「飛刀王」之子。雖背負父名, Sunny只會自誇自擂是「飛刀門」傳人,卻對自己的能力沒信心,也沒有勇氣去發揮, 結果一事無成, 在表演團裡當個小丑混飯吃。直到一天他隨團裡五名表演員到異地尋寶遇到意外, 身體出現異變, Sunny的人生自此再不一樣。
他被美麗而秀氣的女記者Angel迷倒，並得Angel吹捧為力敵變形悍匪的「飛刀奇俠」，頓成人民英雄的Sunny紅遍全城，意氣風發，開始漠視身邊一切，享受名氣所帶來的虛榮。結果飛刀失效, 更被擊致重傷。Sunny痛定思痛﹐隨孫皓學習鍛鍊飛刀絕學, 誓與大初決一死戰！
Angel (舒淇 飾演)
性格倔強, 顧面子, 表面死撐, 背地裡崩潰 。曾是當紅女主播, 工作上卻逐漸失勢。為重新上位會不惜一切, 不擇手段, 對工作上的對手有強烈報復心態。
在成功取得人民英雄Sunny歡心後, 如獲至寶, 靠Sunny名氣扶搖直上, 並將Sunny捧成名過其實的泡沫英雄, 至大初等人找至復仇, 釀成大屠殺, 方開始反省自己所作所為、自責…
Angel本存心利用Sunny, 但相處日久, 戲假情真。後更因以為自己害死Sunny, 為了贖罪決定跟警方合作深入虎穴, 引大初入局。
孫皓 (吳京 飾演)
UCI (全名為Unclassified Crime Investigation,另類案件調查科)指揮官, 此專案小組是警方特別成立以應付連續發生的異能劫案。
孫皓自少學習太極武功, 武功高強但衝動好勝, 他自把自為, 經常單刀赴會。不能忍受失敗的孫皓自從敗於四大金剛手上後, 變得執著, 誓要親手緝拿匪徒歸案。Sunny成名後, 孫皓決定走鋼線, 利用Sunny的名氣引大初等入局, 他的一意孤行終釀災禍, 害死青梅竹馬的師妹秀華。秀華死後﹐皓決定將功補過, 將Sunny訓練成足與大初匹敵的高手…
秀華 (張靜初 飾演)
自少與孫皓學習太極武功, 是孫皓UCI的副手。秀華為確保同門師兄的安全, 經常跟出跟入, 令孫皓困擾。
秀華表面上天真瀾漫、貪玩又愛吃零食, 實際上卻是深懂人情世故, 經常從旁提點孫皓, 惜終因孫皓一意孤行而送命。
張大初 (鄒兆龍 飾演)
奇藝表演團的飛刀王, 在舞台上出盡風頭, 對自己的容貌很有自信, 愛打扮、花姿招展。但生化異變後樣貌變醜, 變得善妒, 尤其妒忌火速走紅的Sunny。長情、自命情聖的大初、見女主播Angel後念念不忘, 後更常因愛成恨。
大初重兄弟情, 堅持親弟張鐵根被Sunny害死, 矢志報復。他武功全面, 飛刀、拳腳也很到家, 生化異變後更力量大增, 帶領著五大金剛喪盡天良, 為禍全城。故事末段逐漸被慾望支配, 變得神態痴狂。
頂尖製作班底
監製．導演．編劇
陳木勝於1990年執導了自己的首部影片《天若有情》之後，亦製作了不少成功的大型動作片，如《我是誰》、《三岔口》、《新警察故事》、《寶貝計劃》及《保持通話》等，使陳木勝成為近年來最炙手可熱的動作槍戰片導演之一。
2007年，陳木勝執導的《男兒本色》把男兒豪邁愛拚的動作世界推至另一巔峰。影片集合了不同的新元素包括高難度動作場面和爽勁的戲劇手法，打造令觀眾耳目一新的動作巨片。
2010年, 陳木勝將在動作片類型再創新猶, 最新強陣作品《全城戒備》揉合了傳統的中國功夫原素和科幻特技, 集合中港台的台前幕後的最強陣容, 誓要打出特技動作電影的新格局。
武術指導
馬玉成為程小東身邊第一強人，每有小東出現的影片，他亦參與其中。程小東近年所參與的大型動作片影片，有《滿成盡帶黃金甲》《十面埋伏》等等數之不盡。而最新之力作為即將上演的《投名狀》，和處於後期制作的《江山美人》。而馬玉成憑藉過去的豐富經驗和設計，早已令他躋身於亞洲頂級武導行列。其個人指導作品包括《風雲II》、由韓國著名影星金善喜及申鉉濬主演的《飛天舞》及國內大熱的電視劇《射鵰英雄傳》及《逆水寒》等等。
美術指導
張叔平曾六度奪得香港電影金像獎最佳美術指導獎, 並憑《花樣年華》榮獲第53屆康城影展卓越技術大獎, 2005年他再以《2046》勇奪洛杉磯影評人協會電影獎的最佳美術設計, 其美術指導和服裝造型方面造詣和成就備受國際肯定。
既為導演王家衛的御用美術指導, 二人多年合作無間, 張叔平風格化的美學在《花樣年華》、《墮落天使》、《阿飛正傳》及《2046》盡展, 並先後為他贏得台灣金馬獎最佳美術設計的殊榮。
張叔平屢次在香港電影金像獎獲得最佳美術指導的提名, 並以《2046》、《花樣年華》、《阿飛正傳》、《旺角卡門》、《似水流年》及《東邪西毒》六度獲獎, 備受業界推崇, 是舉足輕重的國際級藝術大師。
特技製作
萬寬(Menford)由 黃宏顯及黃宏達於1990年創立，是香港數碼影象效果及三維電腦動畫製作的翹楚。從廣告製作至大型電影的創作, Menford憑藉無限創意和革新、高超的技術, 把天馬行空的概念和影像活現於大銀幕。不但成功確立其本地影視特效製作企業的龍頭地位, 國際上亦享有盛譽, 並多次參與荷里活電影製作, 如《Ultraviolet》。
萬寬曾參與數百部電影的創作,包括《玻璃樽》、《蜀山傳》、《頭文字D》、《長江七號》等。其卓越的表現屢獲提名及殊榮，當中包括憑《千機變》、《新警察故事》和《不能說的‧秘密》分別奪得臺灣第40、41及44屆金馬獎最佳視覺效果 , 同時《頭文字D》和《千機變》亦獲得2006 及2004年度的香港金像獎最佳視覺效果。
